The Incident
What happened: On Saturday afternoon (September 5, 2026), an animal handler was mauled by a crocodile while feeding it inside the enclosure.

Ordeal: The handler was trapped in the water with his legs locked in the reptile’s jaws for more than an hour. Unarmed security guards and bystanders attempted to assist by offering an iron pole through the fence and supporting him from the pool’s edge while awaiting help.
Rescue & Outcome
Police response: Responding police officers shot the crocodile to free the worker from its grip.
Fatal injuries: St John Ambulance transported the man to 3 Mile General Hospital. Despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries around 7:00 a.m. the following morning (Sunday, September 6).
Aftermath: Adventure Park, a popular attraction known for live crocodile feeding demonstrations, was closed until further notice following the tragedy.
