Guest speaker - Paul Bluett

Paul has lived and worked in Papua New Guinea for much of the past 47 years. Originally trained as a chartered accountant, he moved to Rabaul in 1980 and acquired a small customs and transport business that evolved into Islands Petroleum, one of PNG’s leading independent fuel and logistics companies. Over nearly five decades, Paul has been involved in business development throughout PNG, including operations in East New Britain, Bougainville, New Ireland, Milne Bay, Oro Province, and other parts of the country. His career has spanned periods of significant national change, including the Bougainville crisis, the 1994 Rabaul volcanic eruption, and numerous natural disasters, during which he worked closely with communities, businesses, and government agencies.
